Dr. LaMarche received his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School where he was elected into the AOA Honor Medical Society. Prior to his medical training, he attained his Bachelor of Science degree from Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts. Dr. LaMarche is a board certified neurologist who completed his residency training through the West Virginia University Hospital System. At WVU he was elected by the faculty to be Chief Resident-a position associated with many teaching responsibilities. At WVU Dr. LaMarche focused much of his training in the area of neuromuscular disease.

Over the years, Dr. LaMarche has also participated in numerous clinical trials. Many of these trials evaluated experimental medications for the potential to decrease brain damage and disability in stroke victims.

Catherine Xianghui Cao, MDCatherine Xianghui Cao, MD

Dr. Cao received her medical degree from Beijing Medical University in 1984. She completed Neurology residencies at both Beijing Medical University and the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Cao also completed a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Her clinical interests include Epilepsy, EMG/EEG, Neuromuscular Diseases and Stroke. Dr. Cao also has research interest in Pathophysiology of Cerebral Ischemia and Stoke, Nerve Regeneration and Diabetic Neuropathy.

Dr. Cao is experienced in diagnosing and managing a variety of neurological conditions. Her ultimate goal is to provide high quality care for her patients.

Barbara S. Bishop, MS, ANP-C, MSCN, CNRNBarbara S. Bishop, MS, ANP-C, MSCN, CNRN

Barbara Bishop received her undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Pennsylvania State University and her Master of Science in Nursing from University of Maryland. At Maryland she graduated as a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Society and was presented with the Award of Excellence.

Barbara holds three certifications: Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP-C), Multiple Sclerosis Certified Nurse (MSCN) and Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN). Barbara has practiced in the field of neurology since 1985. She specializes in the care of patients with MS and has additional expertise in the management of intrathecal pumps and Deep Brain Stimulation. She is extensively published , has performed clinical research and lectures from local through international levels. She is presently on the advisory panel of a national MS publication.
