Mary Allison Bowles, MDMary Allison Bowles, MD

Dr. Bowles obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of William and Mary, a Bachelor of Science degree from Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska, and graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. She completed her internal medicine internship there and completed a neurology residency in a combined University of Nebraska/Creighton University program. She participated in a clinical research fellowship at Creighton University, then completed a neurophysiology fellowship at Harvard University. Dr. Bowles is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Her areas of interest includes neuromuscular disorders and sleep disorders.

 

Firas Beitinjaneh, MDFiras Beitinjaneh, MD, FACP, ABPN, FAAN

Dr. Beitinjaneh obtained his medical degree from The University of Damascus . He completed an Internal Medicine Internship at Westchester Medical Center . He completed a Neurology Residency at the State University of New York at Stony Brook as well as a Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship. Dr. Beitinjaneh completed an additional fellowship in Epilepsy at the University of Virginia. He is board certified in Neurology, Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. His special interest is in Epilepsy, migraines and general neurology. He is a member of the Professional Advisory Board of Directors of the epilepsy Foundation of Virginia (EFVA). Dr. Beitinjaneh enjoys biking, golf and swimming.

 

Lina Wang, MDLina Wang, MD

Dr. Wang graduated from Hebei Medical University in Shijiazhuang, China where she also received a Masters degree in Ophthalmology and completed an Ophthalmology residency. Her Internal Medicine Internship was completed at Nassau University Medical Center and a Neurology Residency at Ohio State University. She also completed a Fellowship in Neurophysiology at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Wang worked with Neurological Consultants of Virginia Beach before transferring to Neurology Specialists in October 2008. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and the American Board of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Wang’s clinical interests are in line with her fellowship training and include EEG, EMG, neuromuscular disease, epilepsy and headaches.

 

Carmen Fuentes, MDCarmen Fuentes, MD

Dr. Fuentes graduated from the Medical School Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico. She completed her transitional studies at Ponce School of Medicine and St. Luke's Hospital in Ponce, Puerto Rico and a neurology residency at Louisiana State University. Dr. Fuentes completed a movement disorders fellowship at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Fuentes is a movement disorders specialist. She specializes in the treatment of patients with Parkinson's Disease, essential tremor, dystonia and other types of movement disorders. Dr. Fuentes also treats patients with other neurological problems and speaks Spanish.
